Why Kairos?

Because we are called by God to visit the prisons and share the love of Christ with those impacted by incarceration. Kairos offers inmates the opportunity to receive God’s forgiveness through faith in Jesus Christ, and to grow in their faith and servanthood in a Christian community on the prison compound.  

Why Me?

Because the uniqueness that you have to share can be a blessing to another person – whether LCIW prisoner or team member. Your life experiences may help another person as they journey through life and theirs may be an inspiration to you.   It’s a winning combination!  People just like you are a part of our teams. Check out our albums and videos.

What is LCIW? 

LCIW is the only women's correctional facility in La. It's in St. Gabriel, about 30 minutes south of Baton Rouge. Click here for more information on LCIW from the Louisiana Department of Corrections.
